January 2012. Honour... where honour is due
We received a letter from our good friend and colleague, Jesús Barrón, the most renowned handwriting expert in Spain. In reply to his letter which you can read below, we would like to say, "I only know that I know nothing", but we would equally like to stress that we have the means to know more TODAY and make it known to the benefit of this wonderful profession.

"... And after all these years ... we are still in the thick of things, I have always considered Mr. Venzal first and foremost as a faithful and loyal friend, in the true sense of the word. Secondly, he is an excellent professional with a tremendous desire to learn, to innovate and to have an open mind and spirit to improve, as he already does so in an excellent manner. Last but not least, he is an outstanding collaborator whenever called upon.
I would like to thank him for his friendship, his fighting spirit in order to put the discipline of forensic document analysis at the level it deserves and, of course, his eagerness to innovate, to learn and to do things as well as possible. His professional track record is a glowing endorsement, not only for his vast knowledge but also for his commitment to the associations of which he is a member. His laboratory, his ongoing training and his fighting spirit have led him, amongst many other things, to discover a Turner valued at 2.5 million euros. I know this research project well and I can assure everyone that he employed scientific rigour and dedicated years to a task that seemed tedious. But most of all, I am very proud to consider myself a friend and a professional colleague with whom to share our research projects. How much easier it would be in this world of criminalistics if we were all so humble and shared everything without expecting anything in return!
Finally, I would like to thank the man who asked me for a few words about his professional activity. I would just like to say that his laboratory is one of the best in Spain for private document analysis, his professionalism is supported by his high level of expertise and his ongoing training both in Spain and overseas, and his persona is the epitome of honesty, and that is truly something.
My heartfelt congratulations for your career, for the laboratory you have and especially for always being "on the ball" and striving to make headway, which I can assure is the way to go.
Thank you and here's to all projects that you have on at the moment.
My warmest regards."
