On 16 November 2011, the first meeting of Balearic-based handwriting experts was held in order to form the Balearic Association of Handwriting Experts, with the memorandum of association being signed by José Luis Bau Fores (President), María Jesús López Alejandrez (Vice President), and José Pedro Venzal Placido (Secretary).
The Association, headquartered at the Venzal laboratory, was officially incorporated and registered at the Directorate General for Institutional Relations and External Affairs of the Government of the Balearic Islands on 23 March 2012, with registration number (311000008018).
The purposes of the Association are to represent, manage and defend the professional interests of its members, and promote collaboration between professional handwriting experts and judicial bodies, government agencies and other organisations, entities and individuals who may require the professional handwriting analysis services of its members.
