Since 2009, we have been using a new analytical system which improves the reliability of expert reports on, amongst other areas, signature and document analysis, as well as on the authentication of works of art. This is based on applying chromatic luminescence and analysing the fluorescence of inks and paper (in document analysis), as well as studying pigments in a work of art.
1. Ability to establish the non-correspondence of a text to the date of the document.
2. Understand the use of different printing devices (printer/photocopier, etc.) and specify them.
3. Detection of chemical washes or document manipulation, both in printed and handwritten sections.
4. Understand and detect the use of different inks, regardless of whether crossed lines intersect or not.
5. Examination of pigments in works of art and underlying signatures.
